As of today, it's finally here. The Toverland E-Bike is officially available for pre-order through the VerseBikes website and can also be admired in the Toverland Theme Park store.

This electric bike is specially designed for young people who want to cycle to school, the sports club, or meet friends safely and stylishly. "We saw a high demand for e-bikes among this target group," says Tim Grootjans, Creative Director of VerseBikes BV. "But the supply is limited. Many young people use their parents' e-bikes, often just a bit too big, or switch to a lower-quality fat bike. We want to offer a high-quality and safe alternative."

A personal project with Limburg roots

For Tim Grootjans, this project is also special on a personal level:

As a Limburg native, I'd been visiting Toverland as a child, back when the park was much smaller than it is now. I have fond memories of my first roller coaster ride with my grandfather and the annual school trips with the whole class. Now, as a father of three sons, I still love going to Toverland. It feels very special to design a bike with these memories in mind that connects with the world of today's children and young people.

A contemporary alternative to the fat bike

The fact that young people are interested in electric bikes is clearly evident from the number of fat bikes currently on the streets. And while we're not necessarily opposed to them, as it's often primarily the driver's behavior that creates unsafe situations, we are concerned about the quality of many of these bikes.

In practice, we see that many fat bikes on the market rarely meet the minimum quality standards expected of a vehicle. Especially in the lower price range, where e-bikes cost around a thousand euros, faulty braking systems, defective frames, or uncontrolled speeds are unfortunately common.

That's why we want to offer parents and their children a more responsible alternative. An e-bike with slim tires, suitable for Dutch traffic, that is safe, comfortable, and reliable. The Toverland E-Bike is designed for everyday use, such as going to school, the sports club, or just going out with friends. A bike that lives up to expectations while bringing the magic of Toverland to every ride.

Smart and safe design

The Toverland E-Bike is equipped with:

• A silent and powerful rear wheel motor for natural support

• Shimano hydraulic disc brakes for reliable braking performance

• A low-maintenance belt drive that requires no grease or oil

• A sleekly integrated display in the handlebars, well protected against damage

• An integrated battery in the down tube for stability and a modern design

• 26 inch wheels with reflective tires for extra visibility

• A frame size of 38 cm, suitable for young people from approximately 140 to 165 cm

Pre-order and personalize your bike

The Toverland E-Bike is now available for pre-order. Pre-order now and receive an attractive discount. While you'll have to wait a little longer for delivery, you can have the bike engraved with your name, for example. This gives your bike a personal and unique look.

Prefer to wait a little longer to make your full purchase? You can also reserve the bike with a small deposit. That way, you'll be first in line when the bikes are in stock. We expect the first shipment in the fall, with a limited edition available immediately.

Looking to the future

Because the frame size is length-dependent and the target group will eventually grow beyond this, VerseBikes is currently exploring the possibility of offering the Toverland E-Bike as a subscription model in the future. The bike is refurbished after use and then repurposed for a new user. This extends the bike's useful life and reduces waste, making the concept circular and environmentally friendly.

A men's and women's model is also being considered, if there's sufficient demand. The current model is perfectly suited for anyone with a smaller frame.
