How does the phone-release mount work?

The tracker snaps onto a permanently bonded stainless steel baseplate. When you need to charge, open the VerseBikes app and tap 'Release.' A solenoid latch retracts, and the tracker lifts off. Press it back onto the baseplate to re-dock — the pin clicks into place automatically. If your battery is completely dead, a small pin-hole accepts a SIM tool for emergency manual release.

What happens after the first year of free data?

After 12 months, you'll receive an in-app prompt to activate the subscription at €1.99/month (€24/year). There's a 30-day grace period — your tracker continues working during this time. If you choose not to renew, LTE tracking pauses, but BLE proximity alerts continue to function.

Can a thief remove the baseplate?

The baseplate is bonded with 3M VHB 5952 industrial tape — the same adhesive used to hold glass panels on skyscrapers. This bond actually gets stronger over time and is rated for outdoor use in all weather conditions for 10+ years. Removal requires sustained heat above 93°C for several minutes plus prying — far too conspicuous and time-consuming for a street theft.

Does it work across Europe?

Yes. The built-in eSIM provides pan-European LTE-M roaming across all EU countries. GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo satellite positioning works globally. Your bike is tracked whether it's in Amsterdam, Barcelona, or the Alps.

What bikes does it fit?

Install once. Forget about it. Until you need it.

1 Bond the baseplate

Clean your frame with the included alcohol wipe. Peel the 3M VHB backing. Press the baseplate firmly onto the frame under your bottle cage. Wait 72 hours for full bond strength. That's it — it's on for good.

2 Snap on the tracker

Press the GPS tracker module onto the baseplate. The spring-loaded solenoid pin clicks into place. Open the VerseBikes app, pair your Tracker. Done. Total install time: 5 minutes.

3 Ride. Park. Relax.

The tracker sleeps until your bike moves. If someone touches it, you get an instant push notification with live location. Share the link with police for recovery. Track movement history for 90 days.

4 Charge when needed

Every 1–3 months, open the app, tap 'Release,' lift the tracker off the baseplate. Charge via USB-C. Press it back on. Click. Done.
